Hi! I’m Denawa. My personal experience with yoga has been nothing short of life changing. Through yoga I have had the opportunity to not only gain insight into myself, but also to connect with others on a new level. For me yoga is meditation in motion, and one of the greatest gifts to the body is movement, breathing, and being in the moment. Yoga encompasses all of that and more.
Yoga came into my life at a time when I wasn’t my very best self physically or mentally. I suffered from anxiety and desired a more mindful and meaningful life. I began taking classes at a local studio, and soon after attending regular classes I began to notice a change in myself. My anxiety started to decrease, and I was growing mentally while getting stronger physically. I even began using yoga as a tool when I would feel anxious. Slowly but surely, yoga became part of my self-care routine.
Yoga in its simplest form means to bring union. It is my belief that yoga is a practice of bringing the mind, body, and emotions together as one. My goal is to guide you on your journey to become clearer emotionally while also growing physically to achieve a mindful lifestyle. My philosophy is “leave it on the mat.” Bring what may be concerning you to your mat, leave it there, and walk away from your practice feeling lighter and whole.
