As a teacher, with every breath taken possibility is being created on the mat. Creating space requires purging things in your life that no longer serve you. Having the space to go within can serve as a reminder that you can rise over and over again no matter what brings you down.

As a student and practitioner, yoga was the road to awakening my feminine. I learned to trust myself and allow myself to sit with whatever would come up. I felt encouraged to surrender to my own inner light which helped my walls come down, opening my heart and soul to receive love and gratitude. I spent a period of my life living in fear and not knowing or even acknowledging my worth. It was a time where I felt my spirit was crushed and that I would never see the light. The way out required courage and taking up space. Through yoga I found the strength and courage to thrive.

As a mother of two, a domestic violence survivor, and a stroke survivor, I found comfort, healing, peace and fulfillment in the practice of yoga.  I began practicing yoga off and on for over 20 years starting with my first pregnancy. While navigating through healing from domestic violence, I began to practice consistently. A few years later, I decided to attend a yoga teacher training which not only deepened my practice but brought me home to myself. Since then I have been teaching for about two years.

My focus is to empower communities to embrace healing practices in the face of stress and trauma, one person at a time. I founded Beautiful Authentic Life to help women self-liberate through breath work, yoga, and intuitive connection. In my classes and workshops, I create space for grounding, centering, and healing so that my students can benefit on and off the mat.

Yoga continues to be my navigation to self. When there were times of uncertainty, sadness, loss, and other experiences, it was and continues to be my safe haven. A place I can release and restore.

I studied with Soulthentic Yoga for my 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training; with Hapori Yin Yoga as a Yin Yoga Teacher; with Maha Mama Yoga as a Prenatal Yoga Teacher, and am registered with Yoga Alliance.
